Position – Cavern Specialist / Well Site Supervisor:
We are seeking key individuals to fill the position of Cavern Specialist / Well Site Supervisor. The candidate will report directly to the Vice President of Operations and will be responsible for all field activities for the drilling and completion of wells, well workovers, and disposal well cleanouts. The Cavern Specialist is responsible for managing subcontractors, scheduling work, job execution and job safety. He/She reports job progress and estimated field costs to the CSI project manager and client.
The responsibilities of the Cavern Specialist include but are not limited to the following:

Assist Project Manager with review of well drilling/workover programs, schedules and cost estimates.

Coordinates and schedules work with approved subcontractors and vendors.

Inspects and prepares well site for workover/drilling jobs.

Ensures all contractor personnel comply with facility operator’s site safety training requirements.

Obtains required work permits from facility operator.

Conducts daily job safety analysis or “tailgate” safety meetings to discuss possible hazards for the day’s activities and ways to mitigate hazards.

Prepares and distributes daily updates, reports, and provide a detailed description of the day’s activities.

Signs and reviews daily vendor field tickets for cost control processing.

Inspects wells and site before returning well to Operator.

Builds client relations. Frequent client interactions will occur in this role and strong communication skills are important.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of practical experience with a cavern operator or cavern consulting company. Broad exposure to salt cavern well drilling, completion, workover, and testing.

Preferred Ten plus years experience in storage/disposal well related activities

Understanding and experience with the various types of well activities (snubbing, coiled tubing, wireline, workovers, plugging and abandoning, and drilling)

Experience in field supervision, coordination, and reporting. Understanding of the various equipment used in well related work and their applications

Strong knowledge of the underground storage and brine mining industry

Strong communication skills

Must be client focused and sensitive to their specific needs

Capable of moving loads up to 50 lbs

High school diploma
-
Current Basic Plus and Well Control School certifications

Work from field office or personal vehicle at job site
12-16 hour work shifts
